Damien Durr, a Cleveland, Ohio native, is an accomplished scholar and community leader. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree at American Baptist College, where he earned the title of Presidential Scholar for his dedication to academic excellence and community enrichment. Damien then completed a Master of Divinity program at Vanderbilt University, where his passion for social justice, education, and community uplift ignited a spark within him.
He has taken on various roles, including the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at The Temple Church, a Social and Emotional Specialist and Intervention Coach within the Metro Nashville Public School System, and the former Executive Pastor at Friendshipwest Baptist Church and executive Director of Faith Formula Human Services in Dallas, Texas. Damien is also the President of The Gus Newport Project and the Founder of DCD Empowerment, spearheading initiatives to transform communities and lives.
He is a narrative curator for Sankofa Kitchen in Dallas, TX, where stories and experiences are shared, creating a vibrant tapestry of voices and cultures. Damien's journey is a testament to the power of education, passion, and dedication to building a better world, one community at a time.
What we do
Our services encompass preaching, teaching, facilitation, attentive listening, and active engagement with diverse clients, including entrepreneurs, churches, schools, and both for-profit and non-profit organizations. We offer workshops spanning single-day and multi-day sessions, inspirational speaking sessions, leadership development engagement sessions, and more.
